Professional Yoga Therapy Services

Evidence-Informed Mind-Body Care

Helping people navigate pain, stress, aging, and life's transitions.

At Tula Yoga Therapy, we partner with individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and care managers to provide personalized, evidence-informed mind-body care that complements existing medical treatment and supports quality of life.

Yoga Therapy is an individualized therapeutic approach that integrates gentle movement, breath practices, mindfulness, meditation, and other evidence-informed tools to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Unlike a traditional yoga class, Yoga Therapy begins with the person, not a predetermined sequence of poses. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to the individual's goals, health history, abilities, daily life, and existing healthcare team.

Clients are often referred for support with chronic pain, stress and anxiety, neurological conditions, recovery from illness or surgery, changes in balance or mobility, caregiver stress, and the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany healthy aging.

“Maile has a grounded, welcoming presence. Her teaching is gentle and thoughtful, creating space for safe exploration of movement, breath, and inner awareness. For anyone in Chicago who is curious about yoga therapy or somatic yoga, I highly recommend taking a class or scheduling a private yoga therapy session with Maile.”
